ginayuan adheres to the standards set by the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), the world's standardization body of national electrotechnical committees focused on worldwide standardization in electrical and electronic engineering.

The IEC was established in 1906 following a 1904 resolution from an electrical conference in St. Louis, USA. IEC certification is generally recognized as CB certification, providing international recognition for electrical products.

The IEC has 60 member countries, each represented by one National Committee. Two membership types exist: full members (with voting rights, must be open to all relevant governmental/non-governmental institutions) and collaborative members (with limited resources, attending as observers without voting rights). A third category, pre-collaborative members, is assisted by the IEC central office or a neighboring country's committee and may become an associate member within five years.
